Fenix's Story

THE FREEFALL

At fourteen, Fenix was told by her faith community that God couldn't love her because she was born gay. She left home carrying that message like a wound. What followed were years of searching for love in the wrong places—through drugs, through people, through survival. She hit a bottom so deep that disappearing felt easier than surviving.

THE QUESTIONS

One night, out of options and out of hope, something shifted. Fenix asked God the questions she'd been terrified to ask: Why am I so sick? Why did you make me gay just to condemn me? Why don't you love me? She expected silence. She got something else entirely.

THE ENCOUNTER

God did not send her to a church. He came to her. Personally. Relentlessly. In a cabin in Colorado Springs, God spoke directly to her—not through religion, not through another person, but directly. And what He showed her dismantled everything she had ever been told about who deserves to be loved. That moment rewrote her entire life.

TODAY

Today, Fenix is an author, speaker, spiritual coach, and founder of The Unconventional Counselor. She walks alongside the ones who have been told the same lies she was told. The unseen. The shamed. The ones who gave up on God because God's people gave up on them first. Her life is proof that no one is too far gone.

Her Greatest Teacher

Marlee, her service dog, was found in a dumpster as a puppy, sick and fighting for her life. Today, Marlee is Fenix's soul mate and greatest teacher of unconditional love.
